Health promotion

Given that the State limits and focuses its health care on mothers and nursing children and that other preventable health problems are manifested in the communities, it is important for AMMID to contribute to the improvement of the health care of the Maya-Mam people of Comitancillo, San Marcos.

Program objective:

To contribute to the improvement of the health conditions of the Maya Mam people from Comitancillo.

To achieve this, we implement the following strategies:

• Promote preventive and curative oral health care.
• Promote a healthy home.
• Promote responsible food consumption and the use of ancestral medicine.
